No Juicing Green Juice

I had a juicer once upon a time, and while I did enjoy using it - it took way too long to clean. Then I lost a bolt which was integral to it's operation, and that was the end of my juicing career. I'm quite sure they've improved on juicers over the last few years, however, I just don't have the patience for it. I do however enjoy consuming nutritious and tasty beverages that come together in a few minutes - this my friends, is certainly that.

There's a real punchy "green" flavour - which is present because I add Alberta Greens to this. It does take a bit getting used to if green juices typically aren't your thing, but I now think it's actually really tasty! You can purchase the Greens at Community Natural Foods, and I'm sure a few other health food stores around the city. They are packed full of goodness: Spirulina, Algae, Beet Root Powder, Probiotics, Bee Pollen, Wheat Grass and more!

The only prep really required for this is frozen bananas. I keep these stocked at all times in a freezer safe container. Once bananas are ripe, I cut them into thirds and freeze. I like the size of the 1/3 banana to use in single portion drinks. Just enough to add creaminess but not so much as to make it too "banana-y".

You can add anything you fancy to this, like most of my recipes. This is a good place to start, then you can fine tune it based on the flavours you like, or what you currently have in your kitchen!

I typically make this the day of, however, if you have an early start or limited time in the AM, just make it the night before and keep in the fridge!
